Preference

This is the options where you will be configuring your Inter-Fone software.

Preference

Admin Password
An administer password is provided so no one can use your line without your permission. Please be careful in selecting the password. For if you forget or loose it there is no way of retrieve.
Tone Setting
Please select the country where you are running the Inter-Fone program. This way the program recognizes the tone and disconnects the line when it detects a busy tone. Inter-Fone does not support the tones for countries that are marked with *.
Internal Line
If you have PBX installed and need to dial special number (Like 9) to access outside line then select "Use Internal Line". But if there is no PBX installed then select "No Use Internal Line".
Auto Answer
Select "Auto Answer" if you want Inter-Fone to answer the call from outside. Inter-Fone does not answer the call from outside if you select "No Answer".

PhoneBook

This is the Phone Book for Inter-Fone where you enter the users information whom you will be calling and also making calls in their local area.
Double click on the row in Phone Book window and a new window will pop-up asking for:
Name: (You can assign any name you want to other user)
Speed Dial: (Select different three digit speed dial number for each user you want to add to your phone book)
IP: (Here you enter the Serial Number, which you can get from the serach window, of the other party. The Serial number should follow the '#' sign)
I/O:(Decides how the line is connect
        External : Using another party's phone line
        Internal : Using another party's internal line
        Direct : Call another party's phone connected to Inter-Fone.
       Ask : System will ask which line to be connected.
)
Tel: (You could dial phone number if you set External or Internal call and system will ask you the phone number you'll call.)
Password: (You need to enter the password received from another party. Only with this information you will be able to connect to the phone connected to another party's Inter-Fone.)

User

Calling another party by using normal phone from external line or with the phone connected To Inter-Fone, you need to register another party's ID and Password. Modification can be done by double clicking on the list item.

Line Control

Password
Connection will be approved only if you type the password in Line Control from internet. Password should be of  8 digit. To let another party use your phone line, you need to give this password to another party.
Enable List & Disable List
You can set up specific Enable and Disable number list. Number is being individualized by "," and enter Key. For example, if  you want other party to dial 090 but prohibit dial start with 0 and prohibit dial start with 090900, then you need to type in the following instructions.
Enable List : 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,090
Disable List : 0,090900

To check if this setting does work, you type in the Disable List number in Test Line Access and push Test(T) button. You can also enter the Enable list number and test the same.
Use Internal Line
Check this if you approve to use internal line.
Use SLIC
Check this when you approve to connect directly with phone.

Maintenance

Log File
This option is used to log all the usage of line. If you don't want to log file if you select "No Log File".
If  you select "Text File", and check Daily. Then each day is stored as a text file that will record the daily usage. This files are saved as with different names daily and you can view it in any text editor.
Inbound directory stores the records of normal phone call from outside.

Outbound directory stores the records of calls through  internet to call outside.
Internet Location Server
With this server you can find other users with Inter-Fone who are online.
Default Inbound User
You can select anyone from your user list as the Default Inbound User for From Slic and From Inbound Call. If you don't want to assign any default User then every time need to type in the User ID and password.

Personal Profile

Name
Type in your name or nick-name here. This is the information that will be made available to others when they search who is online with Inter-Fone.
E-mail Address
Type in your E-mail address.
State
Type your State, Country, City.
Others
You can type in any message or comment here.

Sound

Ring Indicator
Here you can select either Silence, Beep, or Sound. So when someone calls your Inter-Fone the selected sound will be played (Except if you choose Silence). You can select any sound file (*.wav) from the Sound folder.
Sound Files
Inter-Fone provides you with some default messages for various functions. They all are listed below with their purposes.
Information(line) - /sound/hello0.wav
When someone calls from outside to Inter-Fone gateway, this message will be out automatically.
Information(phone) - /sound/hello0.wav
This message is played when you pick up the phone connected to Inter-Fone board.
Try Connection - /sound/try.wav
This message is heard when Inter-Fone is trying to link the call to internet.
Fail to Connection - /sound/fail.wav
When you fail to connect to another party or another party is not using Inter-Fone or internet you will hear this message.
Ringing - /sound/ringback.wav
When someone calls you on Inter-Fone you will hear the ringing.
Opposite Busy - /sound/busy.wav
If the other party whom you are calling is busy then this file is played.
Opposite Reject - /sound/reject.wav
This file is played for various reasons and they can be when another party rejects connection, wrong ID number to connect another party is used, in case trying to use non-authorized number, or no balance left if it is a paid service.
Call when using - /sound/ask.wav
Call from normal phone when in use. Press # to answer the phone or press * to ignore.
Select 1,2,3 - /sound/Which3.wav
When you connect another party's computer, the following message is heard,
" Press 1 and # if you use external line, Press 2 and # if you use internal line, Press# if you want to talk directly to the phone linked to Inter-Fone.

Select 1,2 - /sound/which2.wav
When there's no line for internal use, the following message is heard,
" Press 1 and # when you call through external line, and Press # if you want to talk directly to the phone linked to Inter-Fone."

Close - /sound/close.wav
Connection closed.
No Key Input - /sound/noinput.wav
If there is no key input for a period of time then Inter-Fone disconnects automatically. After which the following message is played
"We disconnect the line for no dial input"
Incorrect ID or Password - /sound/noid.wav
Wrong password or no registered ID
Incorrect Speed dial - /sound/nodial.wav
There's no registered Speed dial
